Biography
Shane Mack is a Republican member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, representing District 95, which covers parts of Livingston Parish and Tangipahoa Parish. He has served in office since January 8, 2024, after being elected on October 14, 2023, to succeed his brother, Sherman Mack. A retired logistics manager, Mack is eligible to serve through the 2032 term and is active in committees including Appropriations, Judiciary, Natural Resources and Environment, and the Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget. He also participates in delegations such as the Capital Region Legislative Delegation, Louisiana Republican Legislative Delegation, Louisiana Rural Caucus, and Northshore Delegation. Notable actions include co-sponsoring HB17 for closed party primary elections for certain offices.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: B.S. from Southeastern Louisiana University.
- Political Experience: Prior to the state House, Mack served as a Livingston Parish Councilman. He was elected to the Louisiana House in 2023 and assumed office in 2024.
