Sean J. O'Brien is a Democratic politician and judge from Ohio, born on August 19, 1968. He currently serves as a Judge on the Trumbull County Court of Common Pleas, General Division, elected in 2022 with his term commencing January 1, 2023, and running until December 31, 2028. Previously, he represented Ohio's 32nd Senate District as a Democratic state senator from 2023 until transitioning to the bench. Notable achievements include serving as minority whip in the Ohio Senate, ranking member on the agriculture and general government committees, and membership on finance, judiciary, and energy and public utilities committees. He founded the Trumbull County Community Foundation, raising funds for local charities, seniors, children, and economic development, and has held leadership roles in organizations like Someplace Safe, Inspiring Minds, and the Youngstown Airbase Community Council.
