Biography
Sean Hornbuckle is a Democratic member of the West Virginia House of Delegates representing District 25 . Born on September 2, 1985, in Huntington, West Virginia, to the late Moses and Pat Hornbuckle, he works as a financial advisor with Edward Jones, specializing in insurance planning, retirement, and wealth management. He is the father of one child, Tristan, and is Christian. Notable achievements include being the youngest African American man elected to the House in 2014 and, in August 2023, becoming West Virginia's first African American House Minority Leader—the highest leadership post ever held by an African American in the state. He serves as Minority Leader, is involved in community service as a YMCA youth basketball and soccer coach, and holds affiliations with the Huntington Chapter of the NAACP, City of Huntington Planning Commission, Cabell County Democratic Women’s Club, and Cabell County Young Dems. From 2017 to 2019, he co-served as Interim Director of the Fairfield Community Development Corporation.
