Biography
Scott A. Wyatt is a Republican Delegate representing Virginia's 60th House District, which includes parts of Hanover and New Kent Counties. Born in 1963 in Richmond, Virginia, he has served in the Virginia House of Delegates since 2020. Previously, he served on the Hanover County Board of Supervisors starting in 2016, advocating for local business, public safety, and lower tax rates. He is a retired telecommunications manager, married to Terri Lynn Higginbotham Wyatt, with two daughters, Leanna and Mallory. Wyatt is Catholic, a life member of the NRA, and involved in community groups including the Knights of Columbus, Mechanicsville Ruritan Club, Mechanicsville Businessmen's Association, and Hanover Historical Society.
Notable achievements and positions include serving on the House Committee on Appropriations, House Transportation Committee , and House Committee on Counties, Cities and Towns. He also holds roles on the Department of Criminal Justice Services Board, Public Private Partnership Advisory Commission, and Commission on Updating Virginia Law to Reflect Federal Recognition of Virginia Indian Tribes.
