Biography

Scott Slaugh is a Republican representing House District 64 in the Colorado House of Representatives, which includes parts of Larimer and Weld counties in Northern Colorado, as well as Baca, Bent, Crowley, Huerfano, Kiowa, Las Animas, Otero, and Prowers counties in Southeastern Colorado. A fifth-generation Coloradan and fourth-generation veteran from Johnstown, he was selected by a Republican vacancy committee on September 13, 2025, to replace Rep. Ryan Armagost, receiving 23 out of 39 votes on the first ballot, and was sworn in on September 23, 2025. Adopted as an infant into a Northern Colorado family, Slaugh learned values of hard work and service from his school bus driver mother and Army veteran farrier father; he has four children and prioritizes faith, family, friends, and freedom. He serves as a U.S. Army Reserve Officer with over 22 years of service and owns Fall River Homes, LLC, a residential general contracting business founded in 2016. Key issues include the right to bear arms, education, housing, veterans' needs, and environmental conservation. He has sponsored 5 House bills in the 2026 Regular Session.
