Scott Lipps

Scott Lipps is a Republican state representative from Ohio representing the 62nd District, which encompasses approximately half of Warren County. A native of Southwest Ohio, he was raised in Miamisburg and maintains deep roots in the region through family and community involvement.

Lipps is a long-time small business owner with nearly three decades of entrepreneurial experience. Beyond his business ventures, he has been extensively involved in philanthropic and civic organizations, including the Masons, Shriners, NFIB State Board, Optimists, Rotary Club, and Farm Bureau.

Education

Lipps graduated from Miamisburg High School and earned an undergraduate degree from the College of Wooster in Ohio. He later completed a Master of Arts degree from DePaul University. He has two children, Jessica and Stacey.

Political Experience

Lipps served the City of Franklin, Ohio, on its City Council and as Mayor for two terms before advancing to state office. In the Ohio House of Representatives, he has focused on issues including Multi-System Youth services, Direct Support Professionals salary increases, patient protections, and prescription drug costs.

A notable achievement in his legislative career was his appointment as Chairman of the Ohio House Health Committee by Speaker Larry Householder. He has served multiple terms in the state legislature, bringing his background in business and community leadership to state-level policymaking.
