Biography

Scott H. Chew is a Republican member of the Utah House of Representatives representing District 68, which encompasses Daggett, Duchesne, Summit, and Uintah counties. Born on April 15 in the Uintah Basin area of Utah, Chew has built a career centered on agriculture, natural resources, and public service.

Chew attended Utah State University.

Political Experience

Chew first entered the Utah House of Representatives in 2015, initially representing District 55 before transitioning to District 68 in 2023, where he continues to serve. He assumed his current term on January 1, 2023.

In the legislature, Chew serves on several key committees including the Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Environment Committee and the Economic Development and Workforce Services Committee. He holds the position of Vice Chair of the Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Environmental Quality Appropriations Subcommittee.
