Biography
Sarah Finger McDonald is a Democratic representative for Oregon House District 16, which encompasses Corvallis and Adair Village in Benton County. A mom, activist, scientist, and cancer survivor, she entered politics following the Sandy Hook shooting, founding the Corvallis chapter of Moms Demand Action and serving on the board of the Alliance for a Safe Oregon . She previously chaired the Corvallis School Board. Notable achievements include winning her 2024 election with 82.8% of the vote after a narrow Democratic primary victory, and currently serving as Vice-Chair of the House Committee on Agriculture, Land Use, Natural Resources, and Water.

Education: PhD in Horticulture from Oregon State University; MS from Virginia Tech; BS from University of Notre Dame.
Professional Background: Academic Advisor and Instructor/Research Associate at Oregon State University.
