Biography
Sarah Keitt is a Democratic representative for Connecticut's 134th District, which includes parts of Fairfield and Trumbull. She serves in the Connecticut House of Representatives and was sworn in for her second term on January 8. Keitt resides in Fairfield, Connecticut, and has a background in public health advocacy and education.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Graduated from Hingham High School; earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Middlebury College in 1991; obtained a Master's of Public Health in maternal and child health from the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in 1996.
- Professional Experience: Worked as an adjunct instructor for community health at George Washington University and as a scientific programs manager for the Society for Women’s Health Research.
- Community and Volunteer Roles: Served as an executive board member of the Metropolitan Washington Public Health Association; held various roles with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, including National Programs Advisory Council member, vice chair of the government relations committee for the Virginia chapter, and district activist leader for the Connecticut chapter; elected to the Fairfield Town Plan and Zoning Commission.
