Biography

Sandra "Sandy" Pinsonault is a Republican representing the Bennington-Rutland district in the Vermont House of Representatives, serving since 2025. Born in Rutland and raised in Manchester, she has been a resident of Dorset in Bennington County since 1982. She was married to her husband Danny for 40 years until his passing in 2023; they have one son, one daughter, a son-in-law, a daughter-in-law, and three grandsons. With nearly 40 years of public service, she brings deep ties to Bennington and Rutland Counties. Notable achievements include being awarded Town Clerk of the Year in 2009 by the Vermont Municipal Clerks’ and Treasurers’ Association. She currently serves on the House Committee on Government Operations and Military Affairs, the House Discrimination Prevention Panel, and the Canvassing Committee. She is also President of the Department of Vermont Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and a member of the Board of Trustees for Vermont Veterans Home.
