Biography

Sandra Scott is a Democratic member of the Georgia House of Representatives, representing District 76 since her election in 2010. Born on November 14, 1961, in Quincy, Florida, to Mamie Givens Jones and Samuel N. Givens, she is married to Edward Scott and has one son, Dexter, and a grandson, Lucas. A longtime educator with over 20 years of teaching experience, she previously served briefly on the Clayton County Board of Education starting in 2007 or 2008 before being removed by Governor Sonny Perdue for ethics violations.
