Biography

Samantha Scott is a Republican representative for Florida House District 52, covering Sumter and Hernando counties. A lifelong third-generation resident of Sumter County, she was elected in a 2026 special election and resides in Bushnell with her husband Shawn and children Cameron, Avery, Sabrina, Mercedes, and Jacob.

Education and Political Experience

Samantha Scott lacks publicly detailed higher education records in available sources. Her professional background includes serving as the youngest Executive Director of the Sumter County Chamber of Commerce, where she doubled membership and tripled sponsorship revenue; real estate as a multi-million dollar producer with Connie Mahan Real Estate; and current role as Director of Marketing for her family’s Mike Scott Plumbing.

In politics, she chairs the Sumter County Republican Executive Committee, leading record turnout in elections; chairs the Republican Party of Florida’s Moms Coalition; serves a second term as Vice Chair of the Congressional District 11 Caucus; and was a 2024 Republican National Convention delegate nominating President Trump.
