Sally Ann Gonzales is a Democratic member of the Arizona State Senate representing District 20 since January 9, 2023. Born on October 2, 1957, in Brawley, California, and raised in the Yaqui community of Guadalupe, Arizona, she has a long history of public service, including prior terms in the Arizona State Senate , Arizona House of Representatives , and Pascua Yaqui Tribal Council . Notable achievements include sponsoring legislation improving education, health care, and rights for women, children, and employees; serving as president of Guadalupe Affordable Housing Inc. to promote affordable housing; and holding leadership roles on boards like the Pascua Yaqui Tribe's Health Advisory Board and Tucson Unified School District's Bonds Projects Committee. She is married to Pascua Yaqui tribal councilman Luis Gonzales, with five daughters and 22 grandchildren.
