Ryan W. Weld is a Republican member of the West Virginia State Senate, representing District 1. He serves as Majority Whip, Chair of the Committee on the Military, and Vice Chair of the Committee on the Judiciary. A former prosecuting attorney and U.S. Air Force Reserve Captain with service in Washington, D.C., Germany, and Afghanistan, Weld was re-elected in 2024. He is an attorney at Spilman Thomas & Battle, specializing in general litigation, corporate/business law, energy law, and estate planning. He is married to Alexandria.
