Ryan Gonzalez is a Republican member of the Colorado House of Representatives, representing House District 50 in Weld County, which includes the communities of Greeley, Evans, and Garden City. Born on December 25, 1994, in Sylmar, California, to Mexican immigrants, he moved to Fort Morgan in 1995, was raised on the eastern plains, and relocated to Greeley in 2008. He was first elected on November 5, 2024, defeating three-term Democratic incumbent Mary Young after an unsuccessful run in 2022. Notable achievements include his volunteer work for over a decade with nonprofits supporting homelessness, Special Olympics, and suicide awareness, as well as involvement in GOP campaigns since 2018, Leadership Program of the Rockies, and Advance Colorado.
