Ryan Bivens

Ryan Dale Bivens was born on January 29, 1979, and is a Republican member of the Kentucky House of Representatives. He represents the 24th district, which encompasses Green, Hart, and LaRue Counties. Bivens is a self-employed farmer and Baptist from Hodgenville, Kentucky.

Education

Bivens graduated from Spencer County High School in 1997 and earned a degree from the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture in 2001.

Political Experience

Bivens was first elected to the Kentucky House of Representatives in 2024. He won his primary election against Asa L. T. Waggoner with 75 percent of the vote and advanced to the general election, where he received 81.6 percent of the vote against Democratic candidate Johnny Pennington. He has served in the House since January 2025 and currently sits on multiple standing committees, including the House Session Standing Committee, Senate Session Standing Committee, and various interim joint and special committees.
