Biography

Ross Turner is a Republican state senator representing District 8 in South Carolina, which includes Greenville, Mauldin, Simpsonville, and Fountain Inn in Greenville County. Born and raised in Greenville, he is a small business owner and president of The Turner Agency, Inc., an independent insurance agency founded in 1962, with over 38 years of experience and a Certified Insurance Counselor designation. His legislative focus includes education, state transportation infrastructure, economic development, families and businesses, and protecting natural resources. Notable achievements include the Roger Milliken Defender of Industry Award, South Carolina Farm Bureau Legislator of the Year, and the 2024 American Council of Engineering Companies of South Carolina Legislator of the Year.
