Biography

Ross Ford is a Republican member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives, representing District 76 . A fourth-generation Tulsa native, he assumed office on November 28, 2017, succeeding David Brumbaugh, and has served continuously since. He is the nephew of Charles Ford, Oklahoma's second-longest serving state legislator. Notable achievements include over 25 years as a Tulsa police officer, where he earned a Medal of Valor, Purple Heart, Survivors Club Award, several Top Cop awards, and two Chief Awards; he was injured in the line of duty in 2007 but continued serving until retiring in 2010. Post-retirement, he directed security for Union Public Schools and Holland Hall, founded LNR Safety Plus LLC in 2015 for senior citizen services, and remains active in community groups like Broken Arrow Rotary and Civitan Clubs. In 2023, he led an interim study on domestic violence in Oklahoma. He previously held leadership roles such as Republican Caucus Vice Chair and Assistant Republican Whip .
