Biography

Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh is a Republican California State Senator representing District 19, which spans cities and communities across Riverside and San Bernardino counties, making it the third largest geographical senate district with over 35 cities. She made history as the first Republican Latina elected to the California State Senate in November 2020 for District 23, and was re-elected in November 2024 for the newly drawn District 19. A native Californian and daughter of Mexican immigrants, she emphasizes personal responsibility, hard work, education, and homeownership as the cornerstone of the American Dream. She lives in Yucaipa with her husband Greg , three children, and Cocker Spaniel named Penny. Known as a bipartisan legislator, she has the most productive record among GOP senators, with 14 bills signed into law by Gov. Gavin Newsom—more than any other Republican. Notable achievements include Legislative Champion of the Year and Legislator of the Year . She champions stronger schools, lower taxes, better infrastructure, affordable housing, economic recovery, local control, and reducing government intrusion.
