Rosemarie Rung is a Democratic member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing Hillsborough 12 . Elected in 2018 and reelected in 2020, 2022, and 2024, she assumed office on December 5, 2018. A longtime Merrimack resident since 1983, she is married to John, with whom she met at the University of New Hampshire; they have three children who attended local public schools. Rung is retired from a career in chemistry and public affairs, with her husband in radiopharmaceuticals; she has volunteered extensively in schools and community organizations. Notable positions include service on the House Resources, Recreation and Development committee , House Municipal & County Government committee, and currently House Finance ; she previously served as Assistant Democratic Floor Leader . Her legislative priorities focus on environmental issues like PFAS, safe drinking water, and cyanobacteria, while championing constituent needs.
