Senator Ronnie W. Cromer

Ronnie W. Cromer is a Republican state senator from South Carolina, born December 1, 1947. He represents District 18, which encompasses Lexington, Newberry, and Richland Counties. Cromer is a pharmacist by profession, owning and operating Cromer Medical Services/LoRex Drugs in Newberry.

Education

Cromer graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1973.

Political Experience

Cromer was first elected to the South Carolina Senate in 2003. He currently serves as Chair of the Senate Banking and Insurance Committee and Chair of the Senate Higher Education Budget Subcommittee. His additional committee assignments include Finance, Fish, Game and Forestry, and Rules.

In the 2020 election, Cromer won his state senate race in District 18 with 46,032 votes.
