Ron Travis is a Republican member of the Tennessee House of Representatives representing District 31, which includes parts of Bledsoe, Roane, Sequatchie, and Rhea Counties. He has served since 2012, succeeding Jim Cobb, and was reelected in 2022 with 14,646 votes. Travis is married to Laura, with two daughters and four grandchildren. He works as an insurance agent, owner/agent, and CEO, and is active in community organizations including the Downtown Dayton Association, local chambers of commerce, Emmaus Community, Southeast Tennessee Rural Planning Organization, and the National Association of Christian Athletes.
