Ron Ferguson is a Republican state representative serving Ohio's 96th House District, which includes all of Jefferson and Monroe counties and eastern Belmont County. Hailing from Wintersville, he flipped the district from Democratic to Republican control in 2020 by defeating Democrat Richard Olivito and Libertarian Oscar Herrera , succeeding term-limited incumbent Jack Cera. He is currently in his third term and serves as Vice Chair of the House Government Oversight Committee, with additional roles on the Financial Institutions, Medicaid, and Technology and Innovation committees.

Education and Political Experience

• Education: Graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Communications.
• Professional Background: Worked five years as a television journalist, most recently at WTOV-TV in Steubenville; currently developing an entertainment center.
• Political Experience: Elected to the Ohio House in 2020; re-elected for second and third terms, representing District 96 .
