Biography

Senator Ron Caldwell ** represents **Arkansas State Senate District 10, encompassing Cross, Jackson, Monroe, Prairie, and Woodruff Counties, and parts of Arkansas, Lee, Lonoke, Poinsett, and St. Francis Counties. A real estate developer and owner of Caldwell Development, LLC, Caldwell Family Enterprises, LLC, and former owner of Caldwell Lumber, he was born in 1951 in Wynne, Arkansas, and is affiliated with the Baptist church. First elected in November 2012, he has served continuously since 2013, previously representing District 23 before redistricting to District 10.

Education and Political Experience

  • Education: BS in Marketing from Arkansas State University.
  • Political Experience: Elected to the Arkansas State Senate in 2012 and District 10 . Currently serves as Chair of the Agriculture, Forestry & Economic Development Committee; Co-Chair of the Lottery Oversight Subcommittee; Vice-Chair of the Employee Benefits Division Oversight Subcommittee; and holds ex officio positions on the Arkansas Legislative Council, Joint Budget Committee, and Legislative Joint Auditing Committee.
