Roger A. Nutt is a Republican who served as South Carolina State Senator for District 12 , representing Moore, SC. Born September 20, 1965, in Johnson City, Tennessee, he is a professional engineer and owner of TNC Engineering, LLC. He is married to Tracy Fennell Nutt, with three children and one grandchild. Nutt resigned from the Senate on August 11, 2025, citing an Alzheimer's diagnosis, with his service ending January 5, 2026. Notable positions include NRA Life Member, supporter of the National Deer Association, member of the SC Workforce Development Board, and Animal Allies Board of Directors. He is a founding member of West Spartanburg Church of Christ.
