Biography
Senator Roger Hauck is a Republican representing Michigan's 34th Senate District, which includes Clare, Gladwin, Gratiot, Osceola, Mecosta, and Isabella counties, and parts of Bay, Clinton, Lake, Midland, and Saginaw counties. Born on October 8, 1961, in Beal City, he grew up on a beef and dairy farm, attended Beal City High School, and lives in Mount Pleasant with his wife, Raschelle, and their two adult children, Matthew and Stacy. A businessman and Catholic, he is active in the National Rifle Association, Michigan Farm Bureau, Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and Eagles Club, and enjoys bow hunting, fishing, and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Notable achievements and positions: Serving his second term , he is Minority Vice Chair of the Regulatory Affairs Committee , and serves on the Energy and Environment, Health Policy committees, and Appropriations Subcommittees on Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy; General Government; and Health and Human Services.
Education and Political Experience
Education: Attended Central Michigan University for two years, majoring in accounting.
