Rodney D. Pierce is a Democratic member of the North Carolina House of Representatives, representing District 27 . A native of Roanoke Rapids, he serves as an educator, historian, and advocate for public education, social justice, rural communities, healthcare access, and economic development. Notable achievements include winning the 2024 Democratic primary against Michael Wray and securing re-election in the 2026 primary rematch with over 64% of the vote.
