Biography
Rodney Creech
Rodney Creech is a resident of West Alexandria, Ohio, where he was born and raised on his family's four-generation farm. He is the fourth generation to reside on the farm with his wife, Jeanne. Professionally, Creech started a small lawn care business shortly after graduating from college. The business has since grown to employ over 40 people.
In May 2025, reports became public regarding allegations of sexual misconduct involving an underage family member. An investigation into the matter yielded claims made by his family, but no criminal charges were pursued by local authorities. Following the allegations, House Speaker Matt Huffman removed Creech from his committee assignments. In February 2026, it was reported that Creech's committee seats had been restored.
Education
Creech attended Morehead State University. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy with an area study in Turf Science.
Political Experience
Creech is a member of the Republican Party. His political career began at the local level, serving as a Twin Township Trustee from 2008 to 2014 and as a Preble County Commissioner from 2015 to 2020.
He was elected to the Ohio House of Representatives in 2020, defeating Democrat Amy Cox with 54.2% of the vote. He served representing the 43rd District from January 1, 2021, through 2023. Following redistricting, he has represented the 40th District from 2023 to the present. The 40th District includes portions of northern Montgomery and Butler Counties and all of Preble County.
