Rodney T. Willett is a Democratic member of the Virginia House of Delegates representing District 58 . A Virginia native born in Portsmouth, he grew up in a family of teachers and has dedicated his career to public service, including as an attorney representing local governments, a technology entrepreneur leading Virginia Interactive to advance online government services, and a consultant helping organizations leverage data for community impact. Elected in 2019 and re-elected in 2021 and 2023, he has championed healthcare access, mental health programs, early childhood education, environmental protection, voting rights, prescription drug affordability, and gun violence prevention, including safe storage laws and increased penalties for adults allowing minors access to firearms. Notable recognitions include Virginia Chamber of Commerce Freshman Legislator of the Year and Fairfax Bar Association Public Service Award . He serves on the Virginia Broadband Advisory Authority, Behavioral Health Commission, and VCU Health System Authority Board; previously on the Virginia Foundation for Healthy Youth, New College Institute, Virginia Small Business Commission, and Advisory Committee on Juvenile Justice. Married to Lydia Rose Pulley with three children ; Episcopalian.
