Biography
Rodric "Rod" Bray is a Republican state senator representing District 37 in the Indiana Senate, which includes all of Morgan County and portions of Johnson, Owen, and Putnam counties. Elected in 2012, he serves as President Pro Tempore of the Indiana Senate, leading its day-to-day operations, appointing committee chairs, and assigning legislation. Notable achievements include leading efforts on balanced budgets, delivering Indiana's largest tax cut in history , returning over $500 million in taxpayer refunds, supporting property tax relief for farmers, defending law enforcement and veterans, addressing illegal immigration, and protecting Indiana agriculture from foreign ownership like China. He manages a family cattle farm in northern Morgan County, practices law with his family firm in Morgan County, serves on the Home Bank Board of Directors, and is a member of the First United Methodist Church of Martinsville. He lives in Martinsville with his wife, Kelly, and their two sons, Austin and Ethan.
