Biography
Robyn Gabel is a Democratic member of the Illinois House of Representatives, representing the 18th District since 2010. From Evanston, she serves as Majority Leader , Chair of the Rules Committee, Co-Chair of the Medicaid Working Group, and a member of the Budget Negotiating Team. Her priorities include racial equity, ethics reform, affordable health care, clean energy policy, and safety net funding. Notable achievements include leading negotiations for the Climate and Equitable Jobs Act and the Future Energy Jobs Act, which invested in clean energy jobs and environmental protections. She has received awards from organizations like the March of Dimes, ACLU of Illinois, Planned Parenthood Illinois Action, and Illinois Environmental Council. Previously, she was Executive Director of EverThrive from 1988 to 2010, advocating for women, children, and families.
