Biography

Senator Robin L. Titus is a Republican representing Nevada State Senate District 17, which includes parts of Churchill, Douglas, Esmeralda, Lyon, Mineral, and Nye counties. Born on February 21, 1954, she serves as the Senate Republican Leader and has a family legacy in Nevada dating back to her great-grandfather's arrival in 1866 and settlement in Smith Valley in the 1880s. A physician with over 40 years in family practice, she is the current Lyon County Health Officer and has held roles such as Chief of Staff at South Lyon Medical Center multiple times, EMS Director for Smith Valley Fire District , and Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Nevada School of Medicine.

Notable achievements include awards like the 1991 Topaz Sertoma Award for Community Service, 2008 American Academy of Family Physicians Nevada Chapter Family Physician of the Year, 2019 National Rural Health Day Community Stars Recipient, and 2021 National Guard Patrick Henry Citizen Award. She is a founding member and past President of the Smith Valley Historical Society and chaired the Lyon County Republican Central Committee .
