Biography
Robin L. Grammer, Jr.
Robin L. Grammer, Jr. is a Republican member of the Maryland House of Delegates representing District 6 in Baltimore County. Born in Essex, Maryland on June 19, 1980, Grammer grew up in a working-class family and has maintained deep roots in his community throughout his career.
Before entering public service, Grammer worked as a steelworker at Worthington Industries in Essex and later served as an Operations Engineer at Comcast. He is married with one child and continues to reside in Essex.
Education
Grammer attended Eastern Technical High School in Baltimore, Maryland and earned an Associate degree in Computer Science from the Community College of Baltimore County in Essex.
Political Experience
Grammer was first elected to the Maryland House of Delegates in 2014 and has served as a member since January 2015. He currently serves on the Environment and Transportation Committee and holds positions on multiple subcommittees including the Natural Resources and Open Space Subcommittee and the Environment Subcommittee.
Earlier in his tenure, Grammer served on the Judiciary Committee from 2019 to 2025, including roles on both the Criminal Law and Procedure Subcommittee and the Civil Law and Procedure Subcommittee. He also served on the Appropriations Committee from 2015 to 2019.
In January 2025, Grammer became a founding member of the Maryland House Freedom Caucus, positioning himself on the conservative wing of the state Republican caucus. Additionally, he has served as a member of the State Advisory Board for Juvenile Services since 2019.
