Biography
Robert T. Reese
Robert T. Reese was born on November 13, 1967, and is an American politician representing South Carolina's 70th district in the House of Representatives. A member of the Democratic Party, he represents constituents in Kershaw and Richland counties. Reese is a community advocate, grant writer, and environmental justice and climate change proponent. He serves as executive director of South Carolina Interfaith Power and Light and has led environmental protection initiatives through his work with the Lower Richland branch of the South Carolina NAACP.
Education
Reese earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Morehouse College and an MBA from the University of South Carolina, demonstrating his commitment to both business and public service education.
Political Experience
Reese won his seat in the South Carolina House of Representatives after defeating two candidates to become the Democratic nominee, then winning the general election unopposed. He currently serves on two House committees: Agriculture, Natural Resources & Environmental Affairs and Operations and Management. His legislative focus reflects his broader advocacy for environmental protection and social justice initiatives.
