Biography
Senator Robert Myers is a Republican representing District Q in the Alaska State Senate. Born in Fairbanks, Alaska, he grew up in communities including Salcha , Fairbanks , and North Pole , where he resides at 3021 Amanda Loop with his wife Dawna and children AprilDawn, Lynn, Virginia, and two others. A lifelong Alaskan of 37 years , he works as a truck driver, frequently traveling the Haul Road, and previously drove for a tour company during college. Myers developed a passion for Alaska from his childhood at his parents' Salchaket Roadhouse and ran for office to ensure a strong future for his family. Notable positions include *Republican Whip *; he previously represented Senate District B .
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Graduated from West Valley High School ; earned a BA in Philosophy from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2007, with studies in political science and history.
