Biography
Robert C. Carroll is an American politician and attorney serving as a Democratic member of the New York State Assembly, representing District 44. This district covers portions of Brooklyn neighborhoods including Park Slope, Windsor Terrace, Kensington, Borough Park, Victorian Flatbush, Ditmas Park, Prospect Heights, Midwood, and the entirety of Prospect Park. He has been a leader on issues such as environmental legislation, early childhood literacy, election law reform, and public transportation. Notable positions include Chair of the Subcommittee on Museums and Cultural Institutions, Chair of the Commission on Government Administration, and Chair of the Assembly Committee on Libraries & Education Technology. Carroll has advocated for a joint New York City-Lake Placid Winter Olympics bid, earning endorsements and support from Governor Hochul.
