Robby Robbins is a Republican representing District 97 in the South Carolina House of Representatives, covering Colleton and Dorchester Counties. Born on May 5, 1962, in Charleston, he is an attorney from St. George who won a special election in May 2022 after incumbent Mandy Kimmons opted not to run for re-election, defeating Democrat ReZsaun Lewis. Notable achievements include serving as First Circuit Solicitor , First Congressional District Commissioner on the South Carolina Department of Transportation , where he helped implement a 10-year road improvement plan with projects like the Nexton Parkway Interchange and Bear Island Parkway, and contributions to reducing case backlogs as Deputy Solicitor. He currently serves on the House Judiciary and Ethics Committees and is a board member of the South Carolina Research Authority and Southern Carolina Development Alliance.
