Robby Carter is a Democratic member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, representing District 72 . An attorney from Greensburg, he first served in the House from 1996 to 2008, returned in 2016 after winning election with 68% of the vote, and was reelected in 2023. Notable achievements include appointment as Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee in 2024, serving as Dean of the House, and receiving Outstanding Legislator awards. He holds leadership roles in the Capital Region Legislative Delegation, Democratic Caucus, Louisiana Rural Caucus, and Northshore Delegation, and engages in community service as Chairman of the Board at Greensburg United Methodist Church and a Certified Lay Minister.
