Biography
Rob McColley is a Republican state senator representing Ohio's 1st Senate District, which spans 11 counties in northwest Ohio: Defiance, Hancock, Hardin, Henry, Fulton, Paulding, Putnam, Van Wert, Williams, and part of Logan. Born October 14, 1984, in Napoleon, Ohio, he resides there with his wife Denise and their three children. He was unanimously elected President of the Ohio Senate in January 2025, presiding over the 136th General Assembly, after serving as Senate Majority Floor Leader for the 135th General Assembly and Majority Whip from 2021-2023. Notable achievements include leadership in cutting taxes, reducing government regulations, and opposing COVID-era shutdowns; he previously chaired the Energy and Public Utilities Committee and Transportation, Commerce and Workforce Committee.

- Education: Graduated from Napoleon High School ; Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The Ohio State University ; Juris Doctorate from University of Toledo College of Law .

- Prior Roles: Executive Director, Community Improvement Corporation of Henry County , focusing on economic and workforce development; extensive community service as former trustee of Ohio Fallen Heroes Memorial and Henry County Community Foundation, and board member for Henry County Board of Developmental Disabilities and Center for Child and Family Advocacy.
