Rob Chase is a Republican member of the Washington House of Representatives, representing the 4th Legislative District, which includes Spokane Valley, Liberty Lake, Millwood, and communities such as Colbert, Chattaroy, Green Bluff, Newman Lake, parts of Mead, and northwest Spokane County. Born Robert Steven Chase on August 2, 1953, in Denver, Colorado, he is a businessman and politician who assumed office on January 11, 2021, after defeating Democratic nominee Lance Gurel in the 2020 election; he was reelected in 2024 and continues serving alongside Suzanne Schmidt as of January 13, 2025. He has four children and has lived in the district.

Education and Political Experience

Chase earned a BA from Eastern Washington University. His political involvement began in the mid-1990s, influenced by internet research on topics not covered in civics class or TV. He previously served from 2021-2022 and is now in his second two-year term.
