Ritchie Whorton was born in Oxford, Alabama. He graduated from Jacksonville State University in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in secondary education. Whorton taught social studies at Alexandria High School from 2004 to 2009. He then worked in administration at Anniston City Schools until 2013 when he became Assistant Superintendent of Oxford City Schools.read less
