Biography
Rita Mattson
Rita Mattson is a New Hampshire State Representative representing Cheshire County District 18, which includes the towns of Dublin, Jaffrey, and Rindge. She grew up in Atkinson, New Hampshire, and has maintained deep roots in the region throughout her life. Mattson is married and has one child. She describes herself as a blue-collar worker and has maintained that identity throughout her career, bringing a working-class perspective to her legislative work.
Education
Mattson graduated from Timberlane Regional High School in 1973. She also completed trade school training, which contributed to her blue-collar career path.
Political Experience
Mattson has served as a Representative in the New Hampshire House of Representatives since 2024. Her campaign emphasized bringing common sense and practical, working-class values to Cheshire County District 18. Prior to her election to the state legislature, she worked throughout her career in blue-collar occupations before retiring from the workforce.
