Biography
Senator Rick Williams is a Republican representing Georgia's 25th Senate District, which includes Baldwin, Butts, Jasper, Jones, and Putnam counties, as well as portions of Bibb and Henry counties. A lifelong resident of Middle Georgia and small businessman, he has been active in his community, including membership in the First United Methodist Church. Notable achievements include championing major tax cuts, protecting Second Amendment rights, passing pro-life legislation such as the Heartbeat Bill and Gracie’s Law with Georgia Life Alliance, fighting to keep Georgia’s economy open during the pandemic, and advocating to eliminate the state income tax. He currently serves ex officio on the Senate Committee on Rules.
