Rick Ryan is a Democratic member of the Illinois House of Representatives representing District 36 since January 2025. Born and raised in Oak Lawn, Illinois, he graduated from St. Germaine grade school and Brother Rice High School, and has lived in Evergreen Park for over 30 years with his wife, Maureen—a lifelong Evergreen Park resident—and their three sons, Jack, Sean, and Joey, all graduates of Evergreen Park High School. Coming from union families , both Rick and Maureen worked early in their careers as union concrete laborers. Notable community involvement includes serving as former president of the Evergreen Park Baseball League and Booster Club, and head coach of a youth state championship baseball team. As an attorney for over 30 years, he has assisted thousands of clients from his Oak Lawn office and served as an officer of the Southwest Bar Association; he currently sits on the House Committee on Appropriations: General Services.

• Education: Graduated from DePaul University in 1989 and John Marshall Law School in 1992.
• Political Experience: Elected to the Illinois House in 2024 for the 104th General Assembly, representing District 36; passionate about public service since college, with volunteer efforts supporting numerous candidates. Helped pass a responsible state budget focusing on classrooms, public safety, and family priorities.
