Biography

Rick Kloos is a Republican member of the Kansas Senate representing District 3. He assumed office on January 11, 2021, after defeating long-serving incumbent Anthony Hensley in a narrow upset victory on November 3, 2020, despite Hensley's significantly larger campaign budget. He currently serves as Senate Majority Whip and chairs the Senate Committee on State Building Construction. Kloos is married to Pennie Kloos and has four children.

Education and Political Experience

  • Education: Earned a BA from Trinity College in Ellendale, North Dakota.
