Richard L. "Richie" Yow is a Republican representing District 53 in the South Carolina House of Representatives since 2014, currently in his fifth term. A native of Chesterfield County, he is a U.S. Air Force veteran and retired Air National Guard power production expert, now serving as pastor of Hopewell Baptist Church in Chesterfield. He is married to Crystal Lee Wallace, with one child, R.J., and previously served as the first Chesterfield County resident to chair the 5th Congressional District's GOP, helping elect Mick Mulvaney.
