Rhonda S. Taylor is a Democratic member of the Georgia House of Representatives, representing District 92, which includes a portion of Rockdale County. Elected in 2020, she serves on the Agriculture & Consumer Affairs, Judiciary, Juvenile, Motor Vehicles, and Special Rules committees, where she has sponsored legislation. A resident of Conyers, Georgia, Taylor began her career in the beauty industry as a salon owner, instructor, and product educator, successfully lobbying against cosmetology deregulation. Her political roles include media director, strategist, and campaign manager; she worked on the Obama campaigns in 2007 and 2012, managing volunteerism and Get Out The Vote efforts, and served as a delegate to the 2012 Democratic National Convention for Georgia. Notable achievements include awards like two "Excellence in Leadership" recognitions and the "Outstanding Georgia Citizen's Award" for advocacy on Senate Bill 95, which reformed the cosmetology industry. She leads the Social Action Ministry at Antioch A.M.E. Church and the Atlanta East District A.M.E. Church Social Action Commission.
