Biography
Renée A. Price is a Democratic member of the North Carolina House of Representatives, representing District 50, which includes all of Caswell County and portions of Orange County. She assumed office on January 1, 2023, succeeding Graig Meyer, and is currently in her second term during the 2025-2026 session. A member of the Progressive House Caucus, Price serves on committees including Appropriations, Appropriations - Information Technology, Education - Community Colleges, Local Government - Land Use, Planning and Development, and Regulatory Reform. Notable achievements include her prior role as chair of the Orange County Board of Commissioners , where she helped save a historic school building as a community center, close a landfill near a marginalized community, fund local artists, and reserve funds for homestead maintenance. As a state representative, she introduced a bill honoring the Tuskegee Airmen that passed unanimously in the House.
