Biography

Regina G. Young is a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing the 185th District. Elected in November 2020, she assumed office on December 1, 2020, serving parts of Philadelphia and Delaware Counties, including Tinicum Township, Colwyn Borough, and portions of Philadelphia. A community organizer and former educator, she is a certified HIV and grief counselor who founded and led the Empowered Community Development Corporation to address community needs. She previously worked as a community schools coordinator in the Philadelphia Mayor’s Office of Education and as a social service worker with Women’s Christian Alliance. Young serves on the board of the Browning Scholarship Foundation, is an advisory committee member for Turning Points for Children, and sits on the Police District Advisory Committee for Philadelphia’s 12th district. She is married with two children.
