Biography

Regina Birdsell is a Republican politician who has represented New Hampshire Senate District 19 since 2014, serving the communities of Derry, Hampstead, and Windham. Born March 4, 1956, she comes from a military family and continued the tradition of public service by serving in the United States Coast Guard. Her political career began in 2008 as a volunteer for Senator John McCain's presidential campaign. Before her election to the state senate, Birdsell served in the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 2010 to 2014, representing Rockingham District 13. She was elected Chairman of the Rockingham Republican Committee in 2012 and received the Norris Cotton Award in 2010. Birdsell is a strong advocate for fiscal conservatism, opposing new taxes and sales taxes, and prioritizes support for veterans, public safety, and small business development.
